"I designed and built this back in the early
1990's. It's a Champ 3HMV, being a rack mounted 300watt tube power amp
(for use with a separate pre-amp). Brilliant on bass guitar!!
It uses 8 x 6L6 output tubes with fan cooling. Note
the 2 x 3" stack transformers hand-built by me with the highest quality
laminations.
This amp came through the workshop via a music shop
last year (2004) for a service & re-valve, hence the Mesa-Boogie 6L6's in
the photos." - John
