Geloso G-273-A Amplifier
John Chambers of Champ Electronics has been involved with the Italian Geloso amplifiers from his days as a schoolboy. He was given one by the proprietor of an Electronics Shop in his native Nottingham at the age of 14, and this became John's first branded guitar amplifier. (He had already made an amp to his own design by then !) You could say that the Geloso, together with John's early experimentations with electronics, has formed the foundations of his later, highly successful career in the music and entertainment world !!
John has retained his "soft-spot" for this make of audio amplifier, and as well as having a collection of Gelosos, he also repairs and re-furbishers them as a hobby. The following are some examples of the Geloso amps that he has rescued and restored:
Four Geloso G-226-A Amplifiers
Geloso G-18-R Amplifier
Geloso G-203-HF
Pair of Geloso G-274-A Amplifiers

Over the years, John has built-up a library of Geloso Schematic Wiring Diagrams. In order to help other Geloso enthusiasts to repair and maintain their own amps, some of these are provided below for downloading:
