CHAMP ELECTRONICS -" THE VINTAGE VALVE AMP HOSPITAL"

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND

REPAIR OF AN AMPEG REVERBEROCKET COMBO AMPLIFIER

Also belonging to the same customer Pete who owns the Mercury M12 combo, but brought in at a different time, this Reverberocket was also suffering from sounding pretty rough…….a condition which came on suddenly!

This model uses a pair of 7591A tubes for the output, and 6U10 triple-triodes for the front-end. Earlier versions used 6SN7 and 6SL7 tubes, whereas some of the later ones reverted to the more conventional ECC83/12AX7's.

Pete loves his Celestion Vintage 30's in his amps. I believe he still has the original drivers though.

Another classic old amp!

And this one turned out to have a duff output transformer too. It has been re-wound and re-fitted here.
