SERVICING A c1970 SELMER PA100/4 SV AMPLIFIER
This one needed all the usual stuff plus quite a lot more too!
Again she needed the Selmer
"bad design" mod!
……And the output coupling caps again.
Unfortunately the output transformer was faulty too so off she came for a rewind.
…….And the rewound trany….just waiting for the varnish to dry.
Bolted back on the chassis & ready to re-wire.
Part-way through the bad design mod here.
All done,
and on a final soak-test.
Starting to look better now.
New power cable fitted.
20 turn bias pot fitted.
I ended up changing all the RS coupling caps as some of them were leaky……it’s always best to change the lot!
Lovely old amp, back to 100% life!
