CHAMP ELECTRONICS -" THE VINTAGE VALVE AMP HOSPITAL"

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND

SERVICING A c1968 SELMER TREBLE 'N' BASS TREMOLO AMPLIFIER HEAD

I was really pleased to have this one cross the workbench. In 1968 at the age of 18, this was my first British-branded amp…..and brand new! The one I had was the bass version which didn’t have the Tremolo but, what it did have was 2 x GZ34 rectifiers! In a row along with the 4 x EL34 output tubes…..all along the back it looked really impressive! I’ve yet to see one with the 2 x GZ34 rectifiers. I wonder if one will ever cross my path….I would imagine they are very rare?

Finished here & ready to go back in the case.

This one also needed the Selmer "bad design mod"….yet again!

Previously fitted bias-pot…again always a good thing to do.

Scruffy, but still a great old amp.
