RESTORATION OF A c1962 SELMER TWIN-SELECTORTONE COMBO AMPLIFIER
The cabinet for this one was made and
covered by Johnny Sharp to take the in'ards of his old Selectortone.
A full new set of tubes were supplied by the owner.
As most of the time…..a damn good few components needed to be replaced and……done pretty neat here though I say it myself!
The E.R.O. branded caps in the pre-amp always need replacing…..they are usually split & cracked!
A few components changed here.
The little filter networks on these are an absolute pig to do but….they have to be done as the black Hunts caps are always knackered!
Everything that needed to be changed has been done here.
Replacing one of the broken switches on the foot-switch.
Everything finished and as always on a final soak-test.
