CHAMP ELECTRONICS -" THE VALVE AMP HOSPITAL"

NOTTINGHAM, ENGLAND

SERVICING A VOX V15 COMBO AMPLIFIER

This unit was manufactured at a time when the Vox name was being tossed around from one manufacturer to another. Here it is branded as being made by the Faraday Group Of Companies.

Showing the full top of the chassis with the cheap-tack wooden cover removed.

Here the famous Vox speaker connection terminal block has been replaced with a simple solder tag arrangement.

Quite a nice touch here though - the schematic printed on the reverse side of the top back panel. For those of you who understand this kind of thing, note how this model uses negative feedback whereas most of the other Vox's don't.

The address where to send the guarantee registration card……at the time.

I think the seven day deadline for submitting this card/information has long passed!

Originally I thought these were Celestion drivers, but I have since been corrected on this by my friend Jerry. Apparently these are 10" blue Fanes. These are well regarded and Vox also used the 12" version in the solid state Escort range too.

Although not one of the best Vox's ever made….it nevertheless sounds really good when in tip-top working order.
